GENERAL LIGHT BULBS
The
Difference; If you're
reading this page, you want to
know why you should purchase
our bulbs verses the name brand
bulbs or even some other bulb
you've passively grown
accustomed to.
The simple answer is that we are
committed to providing the
leading edge products at
competitive prices WITHOUT
sacrificing quality, efficiency
or longevity. What
separates us from other light
bulb providers is that our
prices are better.
We offer these prices by
accepting lower profit margins
than others might be inclined
to, and by striving to keep our
operations efficient. At
Turolight we're constantly
looking for new innovative
technologies to complement our
line of products by listening to
our clients requests and
suggestions and then acting upon
them.
Certifications;
we are proud to say that all of
our products have either CSA or
UL certifications. These
certificates insure safety
within the components used and
also serve to confirm the
products overall efficiency by
energy savings. You may also
find Energy Star ratings on some
of our premier products to
further qualify the energy
savings provided.
Quality
Control; a product is
only good as its quality
control. At Turolight we take
quality to heart. Not only do
are products go through an
initial burn in test they are
also sampled regularly for
quality assurance and longevity
both overseas and in our local
offices. Any and all
quality issues are seen as the
highest of our priorities and as
such we adhere to the strictest
of QC procedures.
The column to the right describes
in more detail the reasons for
using Turolight Compact
Fluorescent bulbs.

COMPACT FLUORESCENT
BRIEF
NOTATION REGARDING PAR-P
Series:
Many have tried to
duplicate our technology
without much success.
Please do not make the
mistake in comparing our
technology with others
of similar nature. We
were the first to
introduce the Super CFL
line of products and
continue to invest in
the evolution of this
technology.
Our products have been
designed in generation
based sequence therefore
today's products are
further enhanced in a
proprietary nature then
others of its kind.
Turolight inc. is the
sole distributor for
this product.
While
normally the simple
reason for purchasing
our Compact Fluorescent
bulbs is of course, the
energy savings – we have
found that alternative
manufacturers use
halogen powder within
their tubing thus
producing a fake compact
fluorescent bulb (CFL).
This helps them to
decrease the overall
price of the bulb and
that, in turn, has a
side effect that
decreases the life,
colour rendering and
efficiency of the bulb.
Leading
edge products;
we at Turolight have
studied, designed,
manufactured and
imported many new
innovative products over
the last few years and
intend to further our
research and development
into the future. These
advancements allow us to
introduce and distribute
new super CFL products
that provide lumens
output of over 75 lumens
per watt. A standard CFL
would provide closer to
55 lumens. As a side
note, we at Turolight
have never provided
lower then 60 lumens per
watt since the day we
first introduced out
ground breaking mini
spiral CFL’s.
Components;
many of the low-end
CFL’s found in today’s
consumer market contain
sub-standard electronic
components such as
capacitors and triodes,
most are assembled with
minimal QC (Quality
Control) procedures.
Low-end CFL’s are made
of ABS (a thermal
plastic resin) where
higher end products are
made with PBT or PC
thermal plastic resins
that are substantially
more resistant to high
temperature levels.
Advanced Quality
Control (QC);
ICQ to IPQC to OQC. ICQ
starts with the
inspection process which
encompasses all the raw
materials and parts that
are needed to produce a
CFL. IPQC is performed
during production to
monitor the assembly and
manufacturing process.
Finished CFL’s then
undergo OQC for power,
current, voltage and
power factor which are
all subject to age
testing. Colour
Testing; Spectrum
analyzing systems are
deployed to verify
colour rendering and
insure the colour is
rendered as per ordered.
As you can see the
process is comprehensive
and detailed to say the
least.
CFL
Expectations;
low end CFL bulbs can
last up to 2500 hours –
mid-range bulbs can last
from 2500 to 5000hrs –
and finally high end
bulbs can range 5000 to
10,000hrs and some even
15,000 hours. The price
for high end CFL’s are
substantially greater
then their low-end
counterparts given that
the product is designed
to last and provide as
much lumens (light
output) as possible for
the duration of its
life.
Into the near future we
believe that despite the
flood of fake or low-end
CFL’s which are limiting
sales to
quality-conscious
markets – our efforts in
educating and stepping
up efforts to offset the
negative effects of
these low quality
products will ultimately
prevail. By producing
new product lines and
providing top notch
customer service we will
remain one of North
America’s leading
manufacturer/distributors
of mid to high end light
bulbs.
Please look forward to
our next innovation
coming soon.
